Holiday Recount
“Yass!” we are going to the lighthouse in Cape Reinga. 3 hours later I could see the other side of NZ and I could see the Sand Dunes. They were so big. They were bigger than I thought. I could not believe my eyes. 30 kilometres later and we were finally there. The wind was howling like a wolf and as powerful as a Silverback. I was so excited. As we were walking down the path I was starting to see the top of the lighthouse. “Oh no,” I whispered to myself, “I almost stood on a cricket.” “Photo time,” mum said. We stood in front of the sign that had 7 countries on it and what direction you go to get there. Mum took a nice photo. After the photos I got to stand up on a little hill. It was sooo scary because the water was smashing onto the rocks. You could see the water meeting up from the two sides of NZ. I got down as quick as I could but it was cool to see.
Than we were off. 5 minutes later we arrived at the HUGE Sand Dunes. We were going to slide down but we just had two boards and only one worked. There was a truck full of boards so we got two for $10 each. We were there until 6 o'clock. I had an awesome day.
