Rugby World Cup Country Research

Hello,
Last week, as you should now, New Zealand played against South Africa in Japan for the World Cup. New Zealand was so good and won. The sore was 23 to 13. Anyway at school we did a Rugby World Cup Country Research work sheet. We all had to choose a country that played. I chose South Africa because they played so well against New Zealand. There were a list of questions we had to answer. There were 17 questions plus a fact about the country.

I loved doing this work sheet. It was so fun doing work about our national sport.
I didn't really like writing down the languages of the country because South Africa has so many.
The learning behind this task was to research a country that is playing rugby in Japan.
GO THE ALL BLACKS!!

How Saturn's rings were formed

Hello,πŸ‘‹

For an inquiry task after I finished my
earthquake task and my PMI , I decided
I wanted to do something on Saturn's rings.
I really like Saturn (It's my favourite planet).

I learnt a lot on Saturn's rings and the way they
were formed millions of years ago.
It made a lot of scenes and was really easy
to find on the internet (The information).πŸ“œ

Presentation on Planet Earth and Beyond.

Hello bloggers, πŸ‘‹
For the last three weeks my class has been learning
about Planet Earth and Beyond. We had to make a slide show presentation
on Planet Earth and Beyond.
The learning behind this task was to find the answer to a wondering I had about Planet Earth and Beyond. My wondering was Does Climate change affect the creatures in the Twilight zone?I liked how we got to choose a wondering.I found it hard to get the definitions for my keywords.I learnt two really exciting facts about my wondering, they were...Carbon in the periodic table is CO2, and carbon may be consumed.
and recycled by marine organisms (COOL).

Structure of the Earth Facts

Hello,πŸ‘‹πŸ˜

For writing today we did some facts on the structure and the layers of the Earth.
Yesterday we all got into groups of three and made an Earth out of modelleing clay,
then we all painted the four layers of the Earth in different colours
(blue, green, yellow, red, brown and orange).

I really liked making the continents and islands on the crust.πŸ˜‰
It was really hard making the layers because we kept on squishing
them so you couldn't see that they were layers.🌏🌍🌎

Here is my writing and my photos:

Structure of the Earth Facts
We are learning about the structure of the Earth.
I learnt that the Earth is made up of 4 layers. They are: Crust, Mantle, Outer Core, Inner Core.

Facts about each layer:
Crust - The crust is the thinnest layer out of all four of them.
The crust is 8-40 kms thick!!
Mantle -  The mantle is the thickest layer of them all. It has melted rocks that squish around
because it’s so hot.
Outer Core - The Outer Core is the 3rd layer to the inside of the Earth.
It is totally liquid-rock and it’s also 4000-6000℃.
Inner Core - The Inner core might be really, really super duper hot but it is solid why?
Because of all the pressure pushing down on it from all the other layers.

Our group - Saphera, Aaidyn and I Annelise😎
First we created a 3D image of the earth using modelling clay, paint and
(blue, green, yellow, red, brown and orange) a knife (to shape the layers).
We then cut the shape in half to show the different layers. After waiting for it to dry, we
identified each layer by painting them in different colours.

Below are some pictures of our work.

Earthworm Digging Deeper

Hello, hello again, On Wednesday we got to try some experiments on earthworms. But now today we are learning to dig deeper in our sentences from simple ones to complex ones on earthworms.

In the experiment yesterday I loved finding the worms in the forest outside.

Some of the questions were hard.

Here is my Digging Deeper sentences!!😁😜

Matariki Day

On Thursday we celebrated Matariki. We celebrated by doing activities that had something to do with Matariki. One of the activities I did I wasn't quite sure if it had something to do with Matariki but it was fun!! This lady named Tracey is an artist that came to our school to show us how to make cardboard dolls. They looked so cool, I never thought I would make a doll to celebrate Matariki.
